Doubts. Musings. Misconceptions. Call them what you want, but over the years, we’ve fielded a fair number of odd questions about reusing motor oil.
And still recycling is the best answer. It’s the safest, most efficient and most cost-effective way to reclaim the value of our motor oil. All you need to do is drop it off at one of our Public Recycling Centres or go to a certified oil change shop.
We’re the British Columbia Used Oil Management Association (affectionately known as BCUOMA) and we’re a not-for-profit group dedicated to collecting and recycling lubricating oil, oil filters, oil containers, antifreeze and antifreeze containers in BC.
Our goal is to provide you with an eco-friendly and cost-effective way to dispose of our program materials and keep everyone safe. Each year, approximately 50 million litres of oil and 3 million litres of antifreeze are collected and responsibly managed through our program.
